"Keeping your computer network secure from unwanted intruders"

What is Network Security?

There's nothing remarkable about the fact that a company's IT computer systems are connected to the internet. But there is still lack of knowledge about how vulnerable they are outside attack, by those wanting to gain unauthorized access to your system.

The term 'Computer Hacker' is frequently used, whether it refers to a teenager attempting to gain access to a corporate network, or in the worst case, organized groups looking to steal confidential information. What matters is understanding how to protect you company and data from attack, and maintaining the flow of daily operations. Part of the solution involves understanding your current IT system and how they can be made more secure without disruption or excessive cost.

Why do I need to protect my IT system?

It is often overlooked that the biggest threat to your computer systems comes from employees of the company. Most staff are loyal and hard-working,  requiring access to the IT system to complete there work efficiently. However, when given full access to the system, they can easily and inadvertently disable the IT system or individual terminal, causing delays and reducing profitability.  In extreme cases, access to all company documents, including confidential ones relating to payroll or staff appraisals, can allow staff to further harm the company. The loss of confidential information or the deleting of key data and documents are problems that should not be underestimated.

What Can be Done to Prevent this?

With good system configuration across the company network, this type of problem can virtually be eliminated.

JJM can work with your business to implement a full security audit of your system, addressing all aspects of security. Following this, a detailed report will be produced, explaining clearly and without jargon, what needs to be implemented to make the system fully secure from attack.
